Flylogix is seeking a safety manager to lead the development of Flylogix’ safety culture in this rapidly developing market. The Safety Manager is part of the leadership team and reports directly to the CEO and accountable manager. The safety manager works closely with the Operations Manager to ensure all work is safely completed. The safety manager has no direct reports but has a dotted line to all employees to enable them to voice concerns and make suggestions outside their reporting line. The safety manager will have a large number of interactions with CAA and NATS.

You will:

  • Run, maintain and develop the safety management system.
  • Manage CAA and customer aviation audits.
  • Prepare Operation Safety Cases to obtain Operational Authorisations.
  • Submit Airspace Change Proposals for airspace.
  • Maintain supporting licenses like OfCom and CAA.
  • Submit statutory reporting including AAIB, MOR and Airprox.
  • Submit ongoing reporting as agreed with CAA (monthly reports, audit actions)
  • Check personal, aircraft and ground station log books are maintained up to date.
  • Document change management.
  • Maintain up to date understanding of relevant regulation like CAP722 and CAP1616.
  • Reporting safety performance to the management team and board.
  • Run the safety committee


This person needs to have conducted a similar role in an aviation organisation.

This person would benefit from an existing network at CAA and NATS.

This person needs to comfortable developing new processes and procedures where nothing is in place and the regulation is ambiguous or developing.

This person needs to be inquisitive in a developing environment. 

This person needs to be able to listen with an open mind but then switch to coordinating the team to deliver a solution.
